Drawing on scientifically grounded theories and empirical findings, as well as on historical and spiritual traditions, in this programme we examine how our dreams relate to our waking life and how they can bring inspiration and transformation to our lives. He holds MSc in Consciousness and Transpersonal Psychology from Liverpool John Moores University and PhD in Sports Science from Heidelberg University in Germany where he conducted research on applications of lucid dreams in sports. Tadas contributed over a dozen of articles to the field of lucid dream research. His work on lucid dreams has been published in such journals as Consciousness and Cognition, American Journal of Psychology, Frontiers in Psychology, Journal of Sports Sciences and others. Tadas serves on the Board of Directors for the International Association for the Study of Dreams and on the Editorial Board for the International Journal of Dream Research. Introduction to dreams and the science of dreaming. Dreaming in the world’s religions and cultures. Dream theories. REM sleep and sleep laboratory research. Content of dreams and the variety of dream experience. Lucid dreaming. Science, phenomenology, and applications of lucid dreams. Transpersonal potentials. Tibetan dream yoga. ‘Paranormal’ dreams.
Experiential learning. Design of a personal programme to probe psychological and spiritual potentials of lucid dreams. Immersion in lucid dream practices and personal exploration of the lucid dream state (4-month period). Reflection on experiences and discoveries. Your experiential journey will be supported via feedback and discussions with your tutor and peers.
Individual project on lucid dreams, exploring own area of interest in depth. Could involve a research project, a practical application, teaching/facilitation, etc. Regular supervision sessions with the course tutor and peer forums will support this process.

The Certificate of Participation is awarded by Alef Trust upon successful completion of the learning tasks (such as forum participation and personal experiential work). This certificate is suitable for candidates taking the programme for personal enrichment only and not seeking a formally recognised Postgraduate Certification.
Candidates wishing to achieve the Postgraduate Certificate will be required to take the relevant assignments for their chosen course, along with completing the applied project.
