This fundamental TCP skill can also be thought of as holding a liminal space (open, receptive and emergent), walking the client through a transformative passage of questioning and expansion, while helping the client to reintegrate new, widened and resourceful perspectives into their lives.
Many coaching methods claim to be “client centred”, however, TCP is the only approach that addresses the whole person by stressing the integration of self, shadow and spirit in a transformative manner. TCP draws on the transcendent quality of consciousness to shift the client from ego-based problems towards spiritual solutions, yet it does so in a pragmatic way that empowers people in the contexts of their everyday lives. TCP facilitates peak experiences, recognising that such states can bring forward insights that have meaning and practical applications in the area where the client wants to resolve a challenge. Clients learn how to embody their insights and anchor their new perspectives into the relevant contexts of their life. He gained his MSc in Consciousness, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology from Alef Trust. He has written seven training manuals and recorded over 30 audio-programmes, as well as a comprehensive video series where he teaches psychological methods for personal and professional development. He is the developer of the Authentic Self-Empowerment (ASE) approach that combines the holistic aspects of NLP with mindfulness and transpersonal psychology. At the heart of ASE is the skill of open awareness, which he has presented at the International Transpersonal Conference and at the Transpersonal Research Colloquium in Prague, 2017. PG Cert. in Transpersonal Coaching Psychology – Module Structure

This module involves the core theoretical study of TCP. You will get the opportunity to engage in three live webinars and participate in three interactive forums, after which you can submit a written assignment. Along with all the course reading materials and other resources, you will be provided with 40 transpersonal coach training videos.
This module focuses on deepening theoretical and practical insights through study of coaching theory and personal application. The Transpersonal Coaching Handbook with 10 companion audio recordings are provided. Thereafter, two theoretical case studies involving two separate coaching scenarios are completed. A personal feedback and supervision session with the course tutor follows the completion of all the assignments. You will engage in further live webinars and recordings of these will be made available. A Q&A forum for each of the main themes will run for the duration of this module.
In this module you will devise and carry out a small applied project, working with clients and/or peers. A minimum of 50 hours of peer and client coaching is to be logged, plus a report (practical case study) is to be submitted – depicting the sessions, client and coach journey and outcomes. Regular supervision sessions with the course tutor and peer forums will support this process.

Accreditation Options

The Certificate of Participation is awarded by Alef Trust upon successful completion of the learning tasks (such as forum participation and personal experiential work). This certificate is suitable for candidates taking the programme for personal enrichment only, who may not be seeking accreditation as a practising coach.
Candidates wishing to achieve the Postgraduate Certificate will be required to take the relevant assignments for their chosen course, and to complete the applied project.
* Those completing the Postgraduate Certificate in “Transpersonal Coaching Psychology” will be eligible for accreditation by the International Association of Coaches, Therapists & Mentors (IACTM). enabling them to practice as coaches following completion of the programme. By completing all three modules of this course, students will have had a sufficient amount of training and will have accumulated enough coaching hours in order to be eligible for coach accreditation with IACTM. The award of the Post Graduate Certificate confirms that students have received a sufficient amount of training, and accumulated enough coaching hours for this eligibility.
