Alef Trust Alumnus, Nir Tadmor, is co-founder of a voluntary organisation supporting those traumatised as a result of the massacre at an Israeli music festival. Please read his message about the need for specially trained therapists who understand the non-ordinary states of consciousness that many of those traumatised were in at the time of the attack.
See the Novasupport website , and please consider making a donation.
May those who seek peace for this troubled region prosper so that all may enjoy lives of tranquillity and ease.
Thank you,
The Alef Trust
Supporting people affected by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict
The following is written by our Alef Trust IT Infrastructure Manager, Vitaliy Dominichenko. Vitaliy is Ukrainian and living in his country … amidst the terror and trauma. It is a measure of Vitaliy’s humanity that his words do not attack others but focus on compassion and the need for caring action.
Our hearts go out to Vitaliy and his wife, Iia. Our prayers are with him and with all those who are suffering.
Vitaliy’s English is not perfect. I had in mind to edit the following … but changed my mind. Let Vitaliy’s words ring out! His message must be heard! And let me join Vitaliy in asking all in our Alef Trust community and beyond to donate in the way that Vitaliy suggests. See the website he compiled: https://lnk.bio/donate.ukr.children
May what is highest in the human spirit prevail …
Les Lancaster, Founding Director, Alef Trust.
Hello,
This is Nir Tadmor and Guy Simon from NovaHelp, an emergency mental health operation that is dedicated to connect between the 3500 victims of the terrorist attack on an Israeli psytrance party named Nova, and licensed and certified mental health professionals. We also provide mental and emotional support for the victims’ families and friends.
The non-ordinary state many of the survivors were in requires a special therapeutic skillset – profound understanding of both acute responses for a horrific traumatic experience and psychedelic integration, something that not many therapists in the country are qualified to handle.
With the amazing spirit of the psychedelic therapy and research community in Israel we managed to gather over 200 psychedelic-friendly and trauma-informed clinicians (with 400 more in the waiting list!) who work hand in hand completely voluntarily 16 hours a-day. With the support of our therapeutic coordination and supervision they already contacted 1000 victims.
All these victims will need much more than the free 3-sessions these 200 therapists volunteered to give, and our therapists will need intense supervision and emotional support themselves during the coming months, possibly years.
Your donation will help us address the unimaginable horrors these people went through.
Feel free to circle the donation link between friends and colleagues – https://www.novasupport.org/
With deep gratitude,
Nir Tadmor and Guy Simon,
(Directors of Impulse – Integrative Clinical Center)
