Feminine Spiritualities

Start date: February 2027. Length of study: 10 weeks. Tuition: £450

Overview

The study of the feminine principle as a psycho-spiritual orientation and archetype within the context of historical imbalances and contemporary shifts in spirituality allows for an appreciation of the potential factors underlying the prevalent divisiveness in our psyches, and our collective world. Through this inquiry of examining inner and outer spiritual structures via the feminine lens, there is potential for uncovering the deeper truths of Self, psyche and Soul.

Synopsis

Feminine Spiritualities refers to a spectrum of perspectives, practices, histories, and cultures that balance on the fine edges of feminism, contemporary spirituality, psychological theory and mystical traditions. Within these fields of study there are multiple points of liberatory inquiry that encourages exploration of what it means to relate to and embody the feminine within and as spiritual practice in the modern world.

This specialist option also explores ways in which the feminine principle has historically been suppressed and revived along with earth-based and mystical traditions that have maintained the feminine as a central role in spiritual practice.

Space will be provided for experiential exploration of the subject matter to allow for both transformative reflection as well as and critical evaluation of the material.
