Imagine what your life would be like if you were flourishing. Imagine you have the confidence to manage the ups and downs of awakening (aka spiritual emergence). This course will help you develop that confidence.

Join us to cultivate more skills and gain confidence in helping others who are in distress as a result of meditation practices, psychedelic or plant medicine use, or experiences with altered states of consciousness.

Take some time to reflect: What has your process of awakening involved? Have you had a spiritual crisis? Do you know the steps to support yourself or someone else who is in spiritual crisis?

Participate in the learning community we create and develop more knowledge of the path of awakening, and where it can lead.

You will gain perspective on where conventional healthcare providers are still missing the boat—most not yet understanding how to recognize or appropriately support awakening.

We are the ones to step up, gain knowledge and skills, and support each other in awakening. Peers can be immensely helpful; you don’t need a PhD or MD or RN to be effective. You do need to be aware of your own experiences, your limitations, your gifts…and cultivate community resources.

Healthcare providers will gain practical skills they can use immediately in their work.

We can support the evolution of human beings by supporting individuals who are awakening.

This Course gives you simple to learn strategies to identify spiritual crisis in yourself or others…and be an effective source of support for an awakening that does not have to become a crisis.

The concepts and strategies we share come from research with a strong evidence-base. Still, we are sharing cutting-edge knowledge and skills.

In this 3-hour series, you’ll learn 4 keys to greater understanding of awakening and how to be of support to others.

Key #1: Learn to identify the signs: who is awakening?

Key #2: Improve your capacity to manage your own awakening,

Key #3: Discern what makes signs of spiritual crisis different from symptoms of mental illness,

Key#4: Get skills to support someone you care for who is troubled by experiences connected to awakening.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to the experiential and participatory nature of this 3-hour online workshop, it will not be recorded. Active participation from attendees is a key part of the session, and to ensure a confidential space, we kindly ask that only those who can attend live register for this event.

Please note that in contrast, all webinars within the 6-week certificate course on spiritual awakening and spiritual crisis will be recorded. These recordings are shared exclusively with participants, who commit to a confidentiality agreement at the start of the course.

Workshop Outline

Accordion Content

Reflect on how you have experienced spiritual emergence and spiritual crisis (emergency) in your personal life.  Learn to use a simple screening to assist others to discern the experiences they have had in their own lives and what support they needed.  Have the opportunity to reflect on this subject in a confidential, safe environment with those engaged with the topic.

We discuss what it feels like to be in a Spiritual Crisis.  There may be both disorientation from spiritual experiences identified in hour #1 as well as psychological upset from past trauma.  We will review what works (evidence-based research), and how you can be of support to others in the process.

We’ll dip into the current conventional understanding of spiritual crisis and understand how it has been side-lined in the “developed” countries. We will identify the societies that have appreciated spiritual crisis and channelled its positive potential.  We will share a practical chart that can be used in a clinical setting or at home, explaining in easy terms how to approach discernment of spiritual crisis… and when to call on added support services.

Join me and people from all across the world to experience how you can increase your own understanding and skills in negotiating the highs and lows of awakening.
