Pizzatto, J. (2024). Understanding NeuroDynamic Breathwork integration: Contributing factors and outcomes [Unpublished Master’s thesis]. Alef Trust & Liverpool John Moores University.

There exists a gap in the research regarding the Online NeuroDynamic Breathwork (NDB) integration process. This case study research design aims to explore the following research question: Through investigating the reported integration of online NDB participant subscribers after a minimum of ten, 60-90-minute NDB sessions, what are the factors that contributed to the participants’ integration and its resulting outcomes? An in-depth understanding was formulated through multiple data sources. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with five NDB subscribers. Thematic analysis data was supported by transpersonal research skills, such as mandala drawing and additional creative expression material provided by the participants. Three themes emerged for integration outcomes: Self-discovery (with the three sub-themes being; Person Growth, Transformation, and Healing), Spiritual connection, and Interconnectedness. Regarding factors for integration also three themes emerged: Journaling, Support and safe system, and Mindfulness /Quiet time. The results indicate that each participant underwent personal growth through self-discovery, enriching both their self-awareness and their relationships with others. The transformative journey was experienced by all, guiding them to transcend their spiritual boundaries and embrace interconnectedness and healing. Journaling, meditation, and group sharing served as primary methods for integration. Journaling was the most popular method of integration practiced by all participants.
