The Aleft Trust is pleased to announce that we have scholarships for the Masters Programme in ‘Consciousness, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology‘

A limited number of scholarships are available for EU and international students wishing to join the MSc programme in September 2015. For the academic years 2015-16 and 2016-17 the scholarships will be worth £4,500 in total (£2,250 per year), which is approximately 50% of the programme fees for EU students. Those wishing to apply for a scholarship may do so at the same time as submission of their MSc application or subsequently.

Deadline for Scholarship Applications: 20th August 2015

Eligibility: The scholarships are available only to those applying for the full two-year Master’s Programme, not the Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma. Payment of the scholarship in the second year will be dependent on satisfactory performance in the first year of studies. Extending the research component of the degree, which normally commences in year two, beyond the two-year period will be acceptable. However, beneficiaries of the scholarships must agree to commence their research in year two of the programme.

Assessment Criteria for Scholarships:

Aptitude for studying on the MSc programme.

Scholarships will be offered to those applicants who can demonstrate that their prior qualifications and the various ways in which they have engaged with areas of the transpersonal or similar work equip them well to embark on the specific areas of study in this MSc programme.

Career progression.

Scholarships will be offered to those applicants who can demonstrate the value in terms of career progression which is likely to ensue from studying in the MSc programme with its emphasis on Professional Development. Applicants will be expected to convey the specific ways in which studying consciousness, spirituality, and transpersonal psychology would benefit their current career or a professional area to which they realistically aspire.

Enhancement of the learning community.

Scholarships will be offered to those applicants who can demonstrate that their intention is fully to engage with the learning community on the MSc programme, thereby sharing their own experience and expertise for the benefit of the learning community as a whole.

Financial need.

Scholarships will be offered to those applicants for whom it is likely that embarking on the programme of study would cause financial hardship. Applicants are expected to disclose appropriate information about their present circumstances in order that their financial need may be taken into account.
